Résumé

The increasing urbanisation of coastal areas leads to a continuously growing demand for marine concrete infrastructures. As is the case for all types of submerged materials, concrete and cementitious materials are bioreceptives and are progressively colonised by marine organisms.In this context, BIOSEACRETE is a thesis project aiming to study the interactions between marine organisms and cementitious materials in marine environment. The objective is to ensure durability of sustainable maritime structures. The study will focus on concrete immersion in two marine environments: the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, and a semi in-situ study at IFREMER. The study will include various concrete mix designs, including low carbon concrete incorporating recycled aggregates. The aim of the article is to present the research context, the scientific objectives and the experimental plan of the thesis. The presentation will be provided as poster.
