Abstract

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a frequent agent of healthcare-associated infections 1. The microbiological quality of the water used for cares in at-risk units is usually assessed, and water point-of-uses (POUs) are protected by antibacterial filters if P. aeruginosa is isolated 2. In at-lower risk units, analyses of water are scarcely performed and patients can be exposed to water contaminated by P. aeruginosa.
