The growing public and manufacturer’s enthusiasm for the drones indoors UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) use raises questions about its usefulness in the nuclear environment While outdoor uses are increasing in all areas, indoor use for nuclear applications remains on the margins but is showing growing interest by combining 2 significant advantages - Stay away from irradiating areas - Access challenging spaces, such as confined heights The CEA aims to assess the capabilities of the latest generations of indoor drones, exploring their potential for deployment in nuclear decommissioning projects.
