Résumé

The Pacific oyster Magallana gigas relies on hemocytes for innate immunity, yet pathogenic vibrios such as Vibrio atlanticus LGP32 contribute to mass mortality events. This strain uses a chromosome 1–encoded Type VI secretion system (T6SS1) to induce cytotoxicity, which depends on bacterial phagocytosis by hemocytes, leading to rapid membrane permeabilization indicative of pyroptosis.
