Denova's Death in the Name of God: Martyrs and Martyrdom in the Western Tradition (Wiley-Blackwell, 2025) as a competent pedagogical introduction to martyrdom across the Abrahamic traditions, while questioning its stated scholarly ambitions, methodological framing, and bibliographical thinness.
