Résumé
Morphological evolution mostly arises through mutations in both coding and regulatory sequences of genes regulating developmental programs. The intent of this article is to review how both coding and regulatory mutation contribute to phenotypic evolution. We will highlight textbook examples in this area and discuss future directions of this field.
