Climate change is a global issue but is experienced and understood differently across territories, which are spaces appropriated and governed by human groups. The territorial approach highlights how local social, political, and ecological contexts shape diverse climate impacts and responses. Territories reveal the connections between societies and climate change, making them crucial for designing relevant adaptation and mitigation strategies. This approach balances the broad global perspective with local specificities, enabling tailored solutions. The chapter explores how territories can be mobilized as key spaces to address climate change effectively.
