Résumé

The Covid-19 pandemic and climate-related crises have heightened demands to integrate scientific knowledge into policymaking, often through science-policy interfaces (SPIs) that facilitate dialogue between scientists and decision-makers. These complex issues require collaboration due to uncertainties and conflicting values. While evidence-based policymaking assumes science guides action, in reality political decisions are influenced by emotions, interests, and diverse knowledges. This chapter explores the non-linear nature of science-policy interactions, analyzing decision-making tensions and the role of SPIs in fostering collective learning on climate challenges.
