This chapter presents a number of methods for the analysis of textures. In particular, the implementation of the FOTO approach (Couteron et al., 2006) to very high spatialresolution Pléiades images has facilitated the study of the relationships between urban variables, the distribution of dengue cases and the availability of larval habitats inBrazil and La Réunion.
