Abstract
In Northern Aquitaine, it was not until the end of the 20th century that the first rural Gallic site to be interpreted as a farm was recognized and extensively searched. This excavation took place in 1997 in a site called les Vergnasses (Gours, Gironde). A few years later, in 2001 in Raspide 1 (Blagnac, Haute Garonne), a second site of the same nature was found and excavated in the same manner. The sites of Raspide 1 and les Vergnasses can easily be compared analytically. A large circular ditch surrounded by steep slopes can be found on each site. Numerous holes from poles illustrated the existence of several buildings and other structures inside the enclosure. Agro-pastoral activities can be highlighted through paleo-environmental studies (palynology, carpology and anthracology).
