Abstract
We're working on the boundaries of vagueness in literature. To do so, we've chosen to explore the territories of reality, identity and time, each of which has its own boundaries that are challenged in literature. We had our three lines of escape, our three railroad lines, but we decided to add two stations, to position two spaces of view, that of the author and that of the reader. So we're taking a journey through Georges Simenon's novel Pedigree, with editions from 1948, 1952 and 1958, and Patrick Modiano's A Pedigree, 2005. These two works don't each borrow a single line. We'll see that they cross and intertwine.
