Abstract
This chapter reflects on how to think globally about prevention in the context of public health and more particularly in the info-communication practices of the actors (public and private institutions, associations, health practitioners, population concerned) related to organized breast cancer screening. It focuses on the methodological framework for understanding this prevention phenomenon and its info-communication issues. The chapter presents the methodological choices of two projects that were conducted using the DOC31 structure. The first project concerns the analysis of two Web-based exchange spaces on organized breast cancer screening. The second project is the analysis of the consultation process conducted by the French National Cancer Institute and mandated by the Ministry of Health in 2016 with the participation of a steering committee of experts, institutional representatives and users. The aim of the second project is to analyze the information and communication practices of general practitioners in the Haute-Garonne.
