Résumé
The main objective of this paper is to present the results of an archaeobotanical study carried out in a rural Punic archaeological site in Ibiza: the torrent of S'Olivera (Ibiza, Spain). The results are based on studies of archaeological seeds and charcoals from a waterlogged context: a water well filled at the end of the 5th century B.C.E. (circa -400). The studied sample reveals plant remains including wild plants, cultivated/collected fruit trees, as well as charcoals documenting the exploitation of a typically thermo-mesomediterranean sclerophyll vegetation (mixed pine forest) for fuel.
