Abstract
The purpose of demographic anthropology is to study the processes of reproduction and evolution of small human groups using the concepts and methods of anthropology, population demography and population biology. In particular, it examines the relationship between kinship, family structures, economy, social reproduction and evolution of the gene pool, thus making it possible to appreciate the continual changes that affect human populations.
