The Specific Contract n°9 " Catch, Effort, and Ecosystem impacts of tropical tuna fisheries" (CECOFAD2) of SAFEWATERS2 set out to improve our understanding of the use of drifting fish-aggregating devices (dFADs) in tropical purse seine tuna fisheries and to assess the impact of this fishing practice on associated pelagic species and on vulnerable ecosystem.
